Paying Tribute to Nurses Who Have Passed

We are a nonprofit organization of LPNs, RNs, and CRNPs from Lancaster County  that volunteer to perform a Nightingale Tribute at the funeral or memorial service of a former nurse. Our services are free and sponsored by donation only.  

Established in 2019 by two local nurses Joni Sweigart and Jean de Groot Banzhof. Joni and Jean are passionate nurses who found inspiration from other honor guards to bring this wonderful service to Lancaster County. By flyers and word of mouth, they brought this organization together. 

The Lancaster County Nurse Honor Guard's mission is to honor those who have dedicated their lives to the nursing profession and given of themselves to enhance the lives of others.
