This free service provides both a memorial table and a Nightingale tribute service. A table of remembrance consists of nursing memorabilia provided by the family and/or honor guard. A Nightingale tribute service is a ceremony that releases a nurse who has passed from their nursing duties. This ceremony is similar to a military honor guard. Through the Nightingale lantern and ringing of a bell, the nurse is relieved of their sacred vows and devotion to the nursing profession. The ceremony is comprised of 3 or more current and/or retired volunteer nurses of Lancaster County. The ceremony can be customized based on family wishes. View our flyer to learn more.
