You can become a member by contacting our membership team through email at lancastercountynursehonorguard@gmail.com, through the message box below, coming to a meeting, and/or emailing our membership team a completed application and waiver.
To become a member, you must hold an active RN, LPN, and/or CRNP license in good standing and/or be retired from the nursing profession. To maintain an active membership, one must participate in at least 2 funerals per fiscal year or attend 50% of meetings. The majority of funerals are likely to be during the week. If you do not feel like you can commit to attending funerals, we have several committees you can join.
The Lancaster County Nurse Honor Guards has several committees for members to participate in. Our committees include but are not limited to: executive board, scheduling team, public relations, procurement team, membership team, sponsorship team, and website/social media team.
Our uniforms reflect traditional nursing attire. If a member chooses to participate in funeral services, they are expected to purchase their own uniform. The Lancaster County Nurse Honor Guard's uniform consists of a cap, cape, white scrubs/dress, panty hose, and white shoes. Caps and capes can be purchase through our executive board for $55.
